2019: 18-34 Working Hard, Reading SGA Legacy series and craving dark fic

I 1000% regret phoning it in last week at work. This week was full on crazy and I worked a stupid amount of hours trying to stay afloat. I really, really hate the month of May! There’s not been much down time because of the long hours but I did start watching Killing Eve this week which has been my 40 minutes of me time between finishing work and going to bed.

I’m really enjoying Killing Eve and it totally made me go and reread brumeier’s awesome dark McShep fics

I’ve been craving dark fic lately so if anyone has any recs please send them my way!

Weekends with George continue to be wonderful! We’ve been so busy enjoying the extra time together that the housework has taken a backseat but that’s a small price to pay (although we’ll have to spend a day next weekend catching up because the living room looks like a bomb site. We’re never going to be a neat household but it’s getting a bit much.)

I’ve not had much time to write this week but I have started back up with reading the Legacy series in the SGA novels. I ended up just skimming the Rodney bits during the first attempt but I’m determined to persevere this time! Who knows, I might even start up my reviews of them again...

Sorry work is so demanding. There were many times in my ‘career’ that had me gritting my teeth. My most physically demanding job was working long, incredibly long hours at a golf course on weekends. Arkansas was extremely hot and humid and lugging around 30 packs of beer, reloading the ice constantly was so challenging.

I feel you on the housework also, everything has taken a back seat to getting Grrr back to health. He is finally improving rapidly! By the time we get his little wheelchair, he might not need it.

I was kinda surprised by how much I liked [Bad username or unknown identity: brumeier’s] dark McShep stories, but that speaks to her talent as a writer.

Yay! I’m so glad that Grr is improving :)

I’m lucky my job isn’t physically demanding as well, I’m not sure I could deal with the aches and pains as well as the exhaustion!

I don't have any dark fic recs. Well, I'm sure you've read Crimes Against Humanity and The Devil You Know series, and other than that, I've got nothing.

There was an amazing one I read where John was a Trust agent, I’m gonna have to go and find it.
