I had sort of something similar happen. Sort of. Max was working at the Pentagon while I was living in Arkansas and he got me a ticket to spend the weekend with him and see a concert the night I flew in. Well, there were thunderstorms all across the mid and eastern part of the continent and of course I gained DC far too late to see any part of the concert. I arrived so late that the airport was dark and almost empty.
Thanks nagi. We got rescued and my breakdown cover even got me a hire car for three days but it was all done too late for us to make it to the concert! The car is in the garage but they won’t be looking at it until Monday or Tuesday so I’m hoping and praying it’s not too expensive but at least we have savings so things could be worse.
