2019: 15-37 Life Update

respoftwMy back is still bothering me and I'm making sure to whine about it as often as possible because stoicism is really not my thing.
It is getting somewhat better but nights are still tough. It has spurred me to finally go bed and mattress shopping though! We've been needing a new bed frame for ages as the wooden slats that go across ours are mostly broken or missing so the support for the mattress is pretty bad. Our mattress probably still has a year or so left in it but, to hell with it, let's get a new one of them as well.
I refuse to buy a mattress I haven't tried so we went traipsing around the bed shops today. Jesus, some sales people are pushy! Anyway, we ended up buying a bed, headboard, mattress, mattress protector and pillows from the first shop we visited after striking out at all the others. I'm £1,350 poorer but as of next Saturday I should have a brand new bed that will hopefully support my back better.
It was the Bagon Pokemon Go Community Day on Saturday. I still hate the 3pm-6pm time change for the event but it was a lucrative event for both of us. Lots of shinies for me and George which was great. We took a different loop around the city centre than we usually do and it was much more chill which was nice.
I had a couple of cinema trips this week. My sister and I went to see the new Pet Sematary on Tuesday evening. It wasn't very good. Then, this morning, George and I went to see Shazam which I loved. So much heart! It was fun and feel-good and, as a massive 'Chuck' fan, I am so damn happy to see Zachary Levi doing a big film like this!
I was supposed to have a third cinema trip to see the National Theatre Live cinema broadcast of Gillian Anderson in 'All About Eve' on Thursday but I fell asleep on the couch after work and woke up at 7.20pm when it started at 7pm.
I fail.
As for work, it was what it was. I'm getting more and more frustrated but I'm also trying not to whine about it so....I'll keep whining about my back instead ;p
