2018: 30-22
Jul. 29th, 2018 04:27 pmIt’s finally raining! The heavens opened on Friday evening with a spectacular thunderstorm and lightning and it’s been wet ever since. The air feels so much fresher as a result. I even got to sleep with an actual duvet cover last night instead of the thin flat sheet we’d been down to because of the heatwave. I would 10000% not survive in a country where the kind at we’ve been having is considered mild.
Work has been frustrating this week. One of our subsidiaries collapsed into another back in May and, rather than have me do everything for the new, ever so slightly bigger subsidiary, my boss has chosen to let my colleague keep monitoring the few projects that have moved over. For the second month in a row my reporting on the company as a whole has been late because my colleague hasn’t done their part on time.
I’m going to approach my boss this week and tell her that I don’t think this approach is working. Honestly, it feels like a blatant attempt to keep my colleague (who used to be my boss, is now lower on the totem pole than me and resents it) feeling like she’s not getting work taken away from her but work needs to be assigned for the good of the business, not just to keep her sweet. We’ll see how that conversation goes....
I got some more of the house decluttered this week but haven’t done much else as I got hit with a stomach bug this weekend. I’m feeling a little better this afternoon and tried some solid food but my stomach is gurgling at it so I’m not sure it was the best choice. Hopefully it clears up soon!
Three’s Company is now finished! Woop Woop! I haven’t gone back and reread it all so I’m sure I’ve got some inconsistencies in there but I had a lot of fun writing the dynamic of John, Rodney and Radek in it.
I also posted a short fill for the Forced Soulbonding square of my hc Bingo Card. The next prompt I’ll tackle for that is accidental mating for life which is pretty similar so I’ll have to figure out a way to make it different enough.

Date: 2018-07-30 10:14 pm (UTC)Max and I are getting over a particularly nasty cold, and now something is wrong with Rufio. He was fine earlier this morning, I picked him up and put him on the bed, but I can’t pick him up now, he screams in pain and hunches weirdly when trying to walk. He doesn’t like it when I am out of his line of sight.
I wish you luck with the conversation you need to have with your new boss. I hope things turn out ok. Thank
