2018: 29-23
Jul. 22nd, 2018 03:36 pmMy car had to go in for its MOT and service on Monday. I was convinced that I was going to need some repairs or replacements done to get it through (and inwardly cringing at the price tag) but Beat (that’s my cars name) sailed through it with only a couple of advisory’s which is a massive relief.
I’ve been a bit out of sorts this week, unfocused and antsy. I’ve dealt with it by going out for a drive/walk most nights which is great for my exercise goals but not so great for any of my other goals! I’m attempting a declutter of our living/dining room but it’s incredibly daunting to look at as a whole so I’ve split the room into chunks which I’m tackling one at a time. (Corner at the bottom of the stairs, side table next to fireplace, fireplace, TV unit, bay window, behind the couch, etc..) It’s going to take a couple of weeks with this method but it’s so much more manageable. George and I are both big collectors (cough, hoarders, cough) so we have a LOT of stuff. Too much stuff really. The Funko Pops alone...shudders. I’m already seeing a difference with the sections that I’ve decluttered already and I think (hope) the finished room is going to have a really positive impact on my anxiety levels.
Work was fine this week, it’s been way less stressful than usual which is probably down to my boss still being off. I love her but she’s not particularly great at planning her workload so a lot of the stresses at work stem from her level and filter down to the rest of us. It’s been a nice break, lol. She’s back next week and I know that there’ll be mad panics to get things done that should have been done before she went off but forgot to tell me about.
I got two chapters of Three’s Company written! Only one to go. That last chapter will definitely maybe get written this coming week! I think I’m gonna work on my first sgareversebang fic after that and try to get ahead of the deadlines. I’m thinking it might end up around 10k? We’ll see!
