respoftw Work was tough this week. I’m really dreading the next eight weeks or so, it’s going to be hard. Year end is always hard but with us being down a person it’s going to be so much worse and I’ve taken the extra money that will mean the lions share of the toughness lands on me. I’ve already started getting things landing on my desk that I know very little about. Coming from my usual workload for three of our subsidiaries where I know exactly what I’m doing, it’s a bit of a culture shock. I think I’ve gotten very comfortable in my role to the point I can do everything easily so starting out knowing very little is hard to wrap my head around. Still, challenges should be embraced and all that..
I’ve been mentally exhausted by the time I get home all this week so weeknights were just spent vegging out. I’ve not even really been watching or reading anything, just throwing some music on and sitting. I’m off on annual leave next week though so hopefully that will recharge my batteries!
I did that thing on Saturday. The one where I had plans and then couldn’t face them so ended up cancelling. I ended up binging about seven episodes of Riverdale instead. I regret everything.
Today was another Pokemon Community Day and it was a nice, sunny day. It was even something approaching warm in the sun. George and I spent the three hours wandering around the city centre which was fun. I ended up with eight shiny Bulbasuars to George’s two. Watching him get more and more frustrated at that was amusing, lol. I hope Niantic continue with these days, going by the crowds there have been in Dundee during the past two they looked successful and it’s nice to meet so many people playing the game
I’ve been a very passive fan girl for the second week in a row but I at least managed to read some of the newer fics. Have I mentioned how amazingbrumeier and nagi_schwarz are? They’re both so prolific and the quality is always amazing. I’m in awe of both of them!
Three’s Company got chapter 10 added. I didn’t get any other writing done. Need to pull my finger out. Hopefully next week will let me spend some time writing.
