What fandom that got a series finale was the LEAST appropriate/least satisfying. Bonus: How would you have fixed it?

Ignoring the ones that got cancelled without being able to resolve things - there can be only one. And as much as I dislike the SGA ending it doesn’t hold a candle to the gut punch that was the Quantum Leap series finale.

“Dr Sam Beckett never returned home.”

It still hits me like a brick.

Oh, yes! I forgot all about that! That was a terrible, terrible ending. I can't imagine being untethered in time like that. ::cries for Sam::

lmao, I love how like, 3 different people have all said QL. I've never watched it, but I did read up on it and I remember being aghast at the ending just reading about it.

It upsets me so much that I usually banish the memory of it from my brain but George mentioned QL yesterday during a random conversation and it was like “oh, I know what my answer to this question is now!”
