2019: 17-35 Life Update
Apr. 28th, 2019 04:45 pmMy back has continued to improve this week and I’m sleeping much better because of it so yay!
This week started well. Monday was a gorgeous sunny day and after work George and I went for a walk around our local reservoir to enjoy the fresh air and stretch the legs before rewatching Infinity War ahead of going to see Endgame this weekend.
Because we had to wait until Sunday to see it, I knew it was gonna be tough to avoid spoilers and I was right. I did end up accidentally seeing spoilers but it didn’t ruin the film for me. The film was a triumph. I laughed, I cried (sobbed might be more accurate, George had to give me a hanky to blow my nose with) and I squealed with excitement.
It was wonderful and it’s put me on a bit of a Marvel fic kick. I’m trying some IronStrange and I’m enjoying it!
Work was..honestly, I was kind of phoning it in this week. I know I’ll regret it this coming week as deadlines loom but I’ve just been feeling a bit done with work at the moment and I’m struggling to find the motivation to go above and beyond when it feels like I’m the only one who does. I woke up with a migraine on Thursday and while I would normally load up on painkillers and go in anyway I decided to call in and had a day in bed instead.
Writing wise, I got a short fic posted this week. It’s a death fic so not a lot people have read it but I’m really happy with the feedback ive got from those who did.
My fandom5k fic is started. I’m happy with my idea and although it’s not due until 1st June, I’m hoping to have it knocked out by mid May. As a guesstimate, it’ll end up around 7-8k?
