I am so, so sorry to hear about your uncle. I don’t know what to say to give you comfort. That is just so scary and hard. I’m not really ready for December, then again, I feel overwhelmed a lot of the time. The Colonel, the Dog and I drove to Chicago the first week of November for a bit of a family reunion. It’s a3-4 day drive from Oregon, which is kind of nutty for a long weekend visit, but my husband enjoys driving and the winter weather hadn’t descended, so it was ok. The reunion was great. It was fantastic to see my sons enjoy each other’s company. We were home for a week and then took our Thanksgiving at the beach , which turned out to be much better than anticipated.
