respoftwIt's been a pretty good week overall. I took Tuesday off work to get my flexi hours down to something more reasonable and George managed to swap a night so he was off too. We went to see Black Panther which I enjoyed a lot more than I thought I would. The worldbuilding of Wakanda was so impressive and really gave the film a fresh feel. I was also in love with all the powerful women in it, I came out of the cinema feeling super pumped with energy.
Saturday was the latest Pokemon Go Community Day which turned out to be a lot of fun. It was a lovely sunny day so George and I headed into the city centre and went dragon hunting. There were so many other people out and about doing the same, it was a really nice three hours. It's a really good motivator to get out of the house and go for a walk and playing the game is something that George and I can do together which is nice. I ended up with enough candy to evolve three Dragonites (one shiny) and I hatched my first Chancey too which was awesome!
I'm continuing to watch Star Trek Discovery and I'm really, really enjoying it. I've only got three episodes to go now, when does the second season start? Lol
I've been struggling for inspiration a bit this week. I reblogged a post of dialogue prompts yesterday on my tumblr and one very kind anon gave me a prompt so I managed to write and post something at least. It was pretty well received which is nice. I still feel like I'm kind of floundering a bit with my writing lately though. I've not been overly happy with anything I've posted this year yet. Although I read the first 700 words of my abandoned first attempt at my Apocalypse Kree fic and I really liked it! Isn't that just typical? Same goes for my abandoned Romancing McShep AU - maybe I can still make something of them both?
I know storyworks will be doing an mpreg challenge soon and I do love mpreg so I've been trying to come up with some ideas. I have an AU idea which I think I could make something of but I kind of want to write something more canon compliant.. Fingers crossed my muse gets their ass in gear soon.
