respoftwThe shit has hit the fan at work. I was off on Monday (had a pretty nice day with George that involved a trip up to Arbroath for fish and chips) and came back on Tuesday to the news that the new hire Finance Manager we got to cover my boss's Maternity cover has decided the job isn't is for him. Which means that my boss is now set to go off for a year this coming Friday and we don't have a replacement.
It remains unclear what the higher ups are going to do about this but they have to do something because there's no way we can manage without someone at that level for an entire year! Watch this space I guess.
It's been a pretty quiet week otherwise, I kept my head down at work and got on with stuff, continued to mainline Greys Anatomy (I've finished season 13 now) and didn't do much else. My back, which was bothering me last week, is still no thanks quite right and I've used that as an excuse to veg out far too much. Must do better next week!

romancingmcshep fic. Not the same fic that I spoke about last week because my brain is struggling to let me concentrate on anything for too long before going 'yeah, but here's another idea...' I'd been toying with a five times fic and got lots of lovely scenario ideas from my tumblr people so I think I'm going to use that idea for the fest. I've managed to get 2.8k written so fingers crossed this one sticks! I think it should end up at around 6-7k words long? I'm hoping to have it finished this coming week.
