I read so much Christopher Pike when I was a kid, lol. And similar authors too, and I can recognize that even back then I was shipping characters.

Christopher Pike was my favourite author for soooooo long, I’ve read so many of his books, sometimes I think about catching up on any that I missed after I outgrew them, :)

I've thought about reading all those teen horror books again - Christopher Pike, Richie Tankersley Cusick, R.L Stine, L.J Smith...oh, my childhood~

Ok, so I have to ask popkin16 and you respoftw What kind of stories are these? Are the actual junior fiction? I like a lot of young adult stuff.

Yeah, I’d definitely class Christopher Pike’s stories as young adult. It’s kind of horror lite but looking back they’re more like thrillers than horrors.I think my progression of reading these sorts of books went from Point Horror to Christopher Pike to Stephen King,

I actually reread quite a lot of my old favourite Pike’s five or six years ago when I hit 30 (reliving my youth, lol) and I was surprised by how much I still enjoyed them.

You did NOT post this cover! OMG. I almost did this one myself. That's my favorite Pike book of all time!!

YEEEEEEEES! Same. I hummed and hawed about this one or the Final Friends trilogy cover but this one won out. I can’t even tell you how many times I read this one!

I had a complete collection of Christopher Pike novels that I sold a couple years ago at a yard sale. Except this one. I kept this one. Couldn't part with it.

::beams:: I had pretty much everything he’d written up to the mid-late 90s but had no idea what happened to them. When I was turning 30 I bought my favourites back from eBay. This was definitely top of the list :)

I've been adding some of my old faves to my Kindle library, but there's no substitute for the actual book.

Agreed. I love my kindle and I’m not a paperback purist by any stretch of the imagination but there’s something about revisiting an old favourite on kindle that just doesn’t feel right

One of the other books I posted this week, Boy's Life, was on sale today on Amazon so I added that to my Kindle. Not sure I have a hard copy of that, to be honest. The last time we moved a lot of books got left behind.

That’s the main reason I love my kindle; it saves so much space and means I don’t have to lug everything around me.

For sure. I'm giving my boy a trip for his 16th birthday this summer. Just a road trip, him and me. Looking for something by a lake, where we can just chill. Defs bringing my Kindle along and doing some reading. I hardly read these days.

God, same. Since I discovered fanfic (late bloomer that I am) my book reading has gone down the toilet. I still remember holidays where my suitcase was weighed down with five books for a two week break! Kindle makes everything better

Samesies. Once I found fanfic, books kind of went out the window. These days I'm not reading much fanfic either, though. Still trying to find a better balance with my downtime. My kindle is full of books waiting to be read. LOL!

I'm a late bloomer too. 2010 is when I got sucked into fandom.
