No longer a COVID test virgin
I felt a bit run down on Sunday and then just fell full out awful yesterday. Aches, shivers, a temp of 39.7 (103.6F). I panicked, of course I did, and booked a COVID test. Managed to get one within an hour of booking on Monday evening and results arrived within 24 hours which I was incredibly surprised by.
Thankfully, the test came back negative. My temp is still slightly elevated but nowhere near what it was. I’m working from home for the next couple of days just to be extra cautious.
Phew!

It’s so strange how a feeling of being ill that would normally not phase me at all became so scary!

I keep seeing in the media here how the testing is a huge failure and people are either not able to book tests at all or are sent to testing centres hundreds of miles away and then have to wait weeks when they do get tested but my experience was excellent. 🤷🏻♀️

It's so scary to feel/get sick these days! I'm glad you were able to get a test quickly and set your mind at ease. <3
