I spoke to my boss about my colleague and she agreed that the current method of splitting the work isn’t working. My colleague passed me her workings on Monday but they were completely half assed and incorrect so I had something solid to take to my boss to back up my complaints in case she wasn’t convinced but she’d come to the conclusion herself anyway. Apparently my colleague didn’t take it well which I feel kinda bad about because her health isn’t great but she doesn’t do herself any favours and my patience for laziness and half assed work is pretty thin. I mean, I don’t go fully Rodney McKay on people but I think I do have a reputation for being less than forgiving...maybe I should work on that.
I’ve been a,bit down this week. There isn’t any particular reason, I just get like this sometimes and I’ve been doing my best to pull myself out of it. Comfort has been the name of the game this week, with my favourite fic, my favourite food and my favourite people around me.
Speaking of favourite people, George and I had a good day today. We went to an early morning showing of Ant-Man and the Wasp (which only came out here this weekend thanks to the World Cup) which I loved! I like my Marvel movies on the lighter side and this fit the bill for the most part. Also, Evangeline Lilly was bad ass and I love her. After the cinema we went to the local botanic gardens which are small but pretty. A walk, some pokemoning and enjoying the sunshine was fun. We ended up just parking on a bench in the shade for a while, talking about silly, inconsequential things and making each other laugh. It was a good day.
Another week, another hurt/Comfort fill. This one was more heavy on the hurt (emotional hurt) and kind depressing. That’s what comes of writing when I’m feeling down. Still, I got some really lovely comments from readers which really made me smile.
